COVID-19 Vaccine for 6 months+

Note: CDC has updated the Interim Clinical Considerations for Use of COVID-19 Vaccines Currently Authorized in the United States to reflect the following changes in the mRNA COVID-19 vaccination schedule: 

  • At the time of initial vaccination, depending on vaccine product, children ages 6 months–4 years are recommended to receive 2 or 3 bivalent mRNA vaccine doses; children age 5 years are recommended to receive 1 or 2 bivalent mRNA vaccine doses. 
  • People ages 6 years and older who are unvaccinated or previously received only monovalent vaccine doses are recommended to receive 1 bivalent mRNA vaccine dose. 
  • People ages 65 years and older may receive 1 additional bivalent mRNA vaccine dose. 

Updated clinical guidance for individuals who are immunocompromised will be shared as soon as possible.

 

Again, no appointment is needed for COVID-19 vaccination during regular clinic hours at Health Departments in Cherokee, Fannin, Gilmer, Murray, Pickens, and Whitfield counties... be sure to look for your County Health Department's CLINIC HOURS and Location by clicking on the name of your county above.

 

North GA – No Appointment is needed for COVID-19 Vaccination in the North Georgia Health District during regular clinic hours at Public Health Departments in Cherokee, Fannin, Gilmer, Murray, Pickens, and Whitfield counties. There is NO Cost to clients, regardless of healthcare coverage. No Identification is required.

Nearly 250,000 residents in the North Georgia Health District are fully vaccinated against COVID-19, and our state, district and county public health officials continue to urge anyone who has not yet gotten fully vaccinated to do so right away.

North GA – May 11th Update: Georgians 12 and older are invited to a COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic hosted by Rock Bridge Community Church in both Dalton and Chatsworth! Come to either clinic site on Tuesday, May 11th from 4:30 PM to 8 PM for your vaccination. NO Appointment is needed. No ID required. COVID-19 Vaccine is FREE! Whitfield County Health Department will administer Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine at the Dalton clinic. Murray County Health Department will administer Moderna COVID-19 vaccine at the Chatsworth clinic. Children 12 and older are only permitted Pfizer vaccine and must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. The Rock Bridge Community Church COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic locations are 115 W. Crawford Street (Wink Theatre) in Dalton and 40 Bowtie Boulevard in Chatsworth. Come get vaccinated and protect yourself, your family, and your community from COVID-19!

Canton, GA – May 11th Update: Georgians 12 and older are invited to a FAMILY NIGHT COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic hosted by Cherokee County Health Department on Tuesdays at the Canton Health Center. Family Night hours are 4 PM to 6 PM. NO Appointment is needed. No ID required. COVID-19 Vaccine is FREE! Pfizer, Moderna and J&J COVID-19 Vaccine will be offered, as available, depending on supply. Children ages 12 through 17 are only permitted Pfizer vaccine, and all minors must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian to be vaccinated. The Cherokee County Health Department health center in Canton is at 1219 Univeter Road, Canton, GA 30115. Come get vaccinated and protect yourself, your family, and your community from COVID-19!

Cherokee County, GA – Beginning May 17th, the Cherokee County  Health Department will change COVID-19 vaccine clinic hours to Monday through Thursday, 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM, at Canton First Baptist Church at 1 Mission Point.

Each Friday, starting May 28th, health department staff will begin providing regular services to the community at the Woodstock Health Center at 7545 North Main Street, Suite 100 from 8 AM to 3:30 PM. In addition to these regular services on Fridays in Woodstock, COVID-19 vaccines will be offered on a walk-in basis only. Operational times on Fridays at the Woodstock center are temporary. Once the transition back to offering regular services each weekday at the Woodstock facility is complete, normal operational hours will resume.

The Canton Health Center will continue to operate, as usual.
